Popsicle stick sensory box

This is so quick and so fun! Watch how your kiddos navigate this craft and turn into something else!

First, grab any small box (usually from an amazon package, cereal box, shoe box, etc. I got one that was small than the sticks so the kids can easily grab them out and stick them in, but you can choose a bigger box so kiddos can put the stick in and watch them disappear!

*Optional* you can wrap the box with wrapping paper to make it look fancy!

Take a knife, scissors, or exact-o knife and cut holes the size of the sticks right into the box. I chose to do the holes going in different directions but you can make any pattern you want.

*optional* You can color around the holes different colors so the kiddos can match the hole with the color of the popsicle stick! You can also write numbers on the box with numbers on the stick, stickers, etc. Get as creative as you want.

Then stick the jumbo popsicle sticks into the holes and let the kiddos play! I chose jumbo because my twins are little and bigger items are more fun and less dangerous! I also chose sticks that are less likely to break easily to avoid chocking hazards or splinters. Lastly, I selected already colored ones just to lazy hehehe. I wasn’t in the mood for marker wars!

How can older kiddos play? Have them wrap the box or color/design the popsicle sticks for their younger siblings! Older kids also enjoy using them to make their own crafts which also keeps them busy and happy!
