Delicious and super easy comfort dessert! We love to make this as a tradition when we go away on vacation!

Ingredients:
- 6 cups of rice Krispie treats
- 1 cup of butter (2 sticks of butter)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla paste or vanilla extract
- 1 bag of marshmallows (big or small)

Instructions:
1. Place rice crispy cereal in an oven safe pan and place it in the oven under the broiler. You can use high or low depending on how fast you want it to cook (and how much attention you can give it so it doesn’t burn!)
stir cereal every 30 seconds until it browns lightly then remove from oven. Let it cool. Place to the side.
2. Melt the stick of butter under medium heat in a pot and stir occasionally until it starts turning amber color. Be careful it doesn’t burn! Once brown, add salt and vanilla extract.
3. Turn off heat and add bag of marshmallows and stir/mix thoroughly until marshmallows are melted.
4. Add cereal to marshmallow mix until desired consistency. I usually have about 1/3-1/2 cups of rice left over.
5. Place mixture back in oven safe pan and smooth over.
6. Let it cool about 15 minutes, cut into squares, and enjoy!
